Year Two: August 2004 in Minneapolis, USA
“The Time is Now…” was the theme of ARK II, held in Minneapolis on the University of Minnesota campus in August 2004. This theme continued to focus on the core principles, setting out a forward-looking agenda of topics: Discovering Our Voices, Honoring Diversity, To End the Cycle of Violence, To Learn How to Inspire Other, and To Be Part of the Solution And Not The Problem.
“Talking Walls” Mural
“Talking Wall” murals on the principles and topics were created and painted by the ARK participants. These murals stand on the corner of Fourth Street and Eighth Avenue, one block west of 35W near the University of Minnesota campus. They are part of the Andrew Riverside Presbyterian Church International Peace Park. You can view a photo gallery of the murals, and the fun we had in creating and painting them.
