Year One: November 2003 in San Lucas, Guatemala
The first gathering of ARK was in Guatemala, November 2003, and the theme “Imagine a Family of…” held center stage. The group tackled different aspects of creating a world through sharing their diverse languages, cultures, music, art and topics such as solidarity, family values, generosity, love and compassion and need for healing the wounds of conflict. The ARK participants became family. The presented a gift of a playground for the little children of the village of San Lucas.
